NSW: Opposition sends warning to government

The New South Wales Opposition has sent a warning to the state government on the eve
of the resumption of parliament for the year to get serious.

Opposition Leader KERRY CHIKAROVSKI says Premier BOB CARR spent too much time last
year making a mockery of the parliament.

Mrs CHIKAROVSKI says the Premier and his ministers gagged debate at least 23 times last year.

She says they stopped Coalition and Independent MPs from raising important issues,
such as hospital waiting lists and rail safety.
